Situated in the center of Lima’s Miraflores District, Chasky Xpedition offers you a unique experience. We show you how to cook your own Peruvian food. Enjoy your self-prepared dishes while having a conversation with your fellow participants and us.

The cooking class starts visiting a local market in Surquillo district to be provided by all the ingredients that we are going to use for making our starter and main course in our kitchen, we will try different kind of exotic Peruvian fruits and snacks too!

During the class, you will get to prepare the dishes under the instructions of our chef, and eat them once they are ready.

At the end, we are going to send all the recipes of our dishes that we made together!

Meals & Drink:

CEVICHE:
We will cook together our Peruvian National dish called “Ceviche!” the most popular dish among Peruvians! It is the national dish of Peru consisting of slices of raw fish or shellfish that is spiced with salt, onions, and chili peppers, and then marinated in limejuice, boiled sweet potatoes and corn mixed.

CAUSA RELLENA:
Causa is a best described as a sort of mini-casserole, with a top and bottom composed of mashed potato mixed with limejuice and aji amarillo (Peruvian yellow pepper), and a filling consisting of, well, virtually anything. Commonly the middle will be tuna, lobster, crab, octopus, shrimp, avocado, or chicken.

PISCO SOUR:
The citrusy, frothy pisco sour is a fantastic classic cocktail that you’ve likely seen on bar menus. It’s the national cocktail of Peru, where pisco brandy is made and loved.

While technically in the same classification as other brandies like cognac, pisco is in a category all its own. It’s high-proof, typically clear, and can range from slightly sweet to herbal and bitter. Pisco is delicious when mixed into cocktails, the most popular of which is the pisco sour.

CITY TOUR

Our historical center is considered a World Heritage Site protected by UNESCO since 1991 because of all the colonial buildings the city has. Lima also stands as one of the oldest capital in South America as it was founded by the Spaniards in 1535 and became the “City of the Kings”, the most important city for the Spanish Viceroyalty in the whole continent!
